Janice L. Pearson

Janice L. Pearson, 70, of Aledo, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Swedona Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Orion. Memorials may be made to the church or to Relay for life.

Jan was born on October 11, 1954, in Moline, the daughter of Robert E and Eleanor Kershaw Fiechter. She married Kenneth Carlson on July 3, 1973, in Silvis and later married Gary Pearson on September 21, 1998.

Jan graduated from UTHS in 1972 and was currently employed with Rock Island Abstract and Title as a Real Estate Closing Specialist and Legal Secretary. She was a member of the Swedona Lutheran Church. She enjoyed going to yard sales and loved antiquing, auctions and bowling. Above all Jan cherished her family and especially her grandchildren and took great pride in attending Sophie’s dance recitals and being the “Grandma in the stands”

Survivors include her husband; sons, Kevin (Emily) Carlson and Jason Carlson; grandchildren, Sophia, Will, Jacob and Audrey Carlson; brother, Gary (Fran) Maxwell and Richard (Brenda) Fiechter; sister, Judith (Stan) Kittleson; and many nieces and nephews.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Georgine Maxwell.
