Janice M. Schumacher, 97, of Aledo, IL, died Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Genesis Senior Living, Aledo, IL.
Private family graveside services will be held at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate. Memorials may be made to Sherrard Community Presbyterian Church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Janice was born on April 4, 1919, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of William F. and Veronica M. Bleuer Perry. In 1937, she graduated from Rock Island High School. She married Maxwell Schumacher on May 2, 1938, in Davenport, IA.
Janice was a member of Sherrard Community Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed quilting. She especially enjoyed crocheting, sewing, hunting, and fishing.
Survivors include her grandson, David Johnson, Moscow, IA; 3 great grandchildren; nephew, Ronald E. Fullmer, Ocala, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maxwell; daughter, Sandra Lea Johnson; 2 sisters, Doris Fullmer and Phyllis Seidel.
