Jason M. Sawvell, 35, of Moline, died of natural causes on September 27, 2013 at his home.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4th, 2013 at First Congregational Church, 2201 7th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to be used for an educational fund for Laura and Jason's child.

Jason was born on May 25th, 1978 in Iowa City the son of Thomas M. Sawvell and Elvia Arce. He married Laura Parsons on June 11, 2011 in East Moline. Theirs was a marriage of laughter and love. Together they are expecting their first child in March.

Jason graduated from Moline High School in 1996 and later graduated from Illinois Welding School in Bartonville, IL. He was employed as an aerospace welder with Cobham in Davenport, where he excelled in his trade and took great pride in his craft. He loved golfing, fishing and his dogs; Kinnick and Owen. Jason was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan. He was very loyal to his friends and family. Jason had a great sense of humor and a very contagious laugh. His smile could light up a room. Jason was truly one of a kind.

Survivors include his wife, Laura.
