Jean Marie Folker

Jean Marie Folker, 73, of East Moline, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on August 4, 2009.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5106-28th Ave., Moline. Memorials may be made to Watchtower Society through the local Kingdom Hall. Jean's family would like to invite their family and friends to a light lunch served at 3:00 p.m. at the Viking Club in Moline.
She was born Jean Marie Hall in Macomb, IL to Arbon and Marie Kemble Hall on February 6, 1936. She was the beloved wife of Marvin Folker, Sr. for over 56 years whom she married on January 18, 1953 in Burlington, IA. She will forever be remembered by her beloved children Marvin Folker Jr. (Paula), Silvis; Daniel Folker (Lori), Silvis; Matthew Folker (Joetta), Geneseo; Bryan Folker, Colona and Denise Folker, Davenport. She was treasured by her grandchildren Nathanial, Silvis; Jonathan, Davenport; Michael (Ginger), Missouri; Jason (Fabiane), Australia; Stephen (Elaine), Davenport; Andrew, Silvis; Lindsay, Silvis; Kayleigh Folker, Silvis; and Ashley Brown, Colorado; her brother Jack Hall (Evelyn), Burlington, IA; and a sister Marsha Pruitt, Danville, IA.
She was loved by countless other friends, neighbors and family members who were joyful to know her.
Jean loved spending time with her family and gardening with her husband in their many beautiful flower gardens. For over 25 years, Jean and Marvin owned and operated "Marv's Tree Service". Jean touched the lives of many people with her sweet smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
Jean passed away a faithful servant of Jehovah God and her loved ones look forward to seeing her again in Gods promised renewed paradise earth "when pain and death will be no more" Rev. 21:3,4.
