Jeanne Ann Gittings, 61, of Moline, died September 30, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008 at First Covenant Church, Moline. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Piano Memorial Fund at First Covenant Church, Moline.
Jeanne was born May 30, 1947 in Moline to Paul E. and Eleanor Hedberg Gittings. She graduated from Augustana College in 1969 and received her master's degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois in 1972. She was a medical librarian for 39 years for Trinity Medical Center.
Jeanne was very active at First Covenant Church, Moline where she was on the Board of Deacons. She was a member of the MLA (Medical Librarian Association) where she held various offices. She enjoyed cross stitching, needle point and she loved animals.
