Jeffrey Connell

Jeffrey Connell, 66, of East Moline, passed away, Thursday, January 14, 2021, at his home.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Private family services will be held at this time.  Inurnment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation.  In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.

Jeff was born on February 16, 1954, in Moline, the son of Eugene E. and Mary Jo (Stickel) Connell.  He married Kathleen E. Laney on June 11, 1996, in DeLand, FL.  Jeff was a United States Air Force veteran.  One of the things Jeff enjoyed was traveling.  He was an avid golfer and a Chicago Cubs, Bears and Illini Fan.  Later in life Jeff became a guitar player.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; children, Vincent Connell, Portland OR, Melinda Powell, IN, stepdaughter, Jennifer Parent, FL; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Theresa) Connell, Tualatin, OR, Roxanne (Gary) Dierolf, Orion, Allan (Karen) Connell, Lone Tree, IA, Candace “Candy” (Steve) Collis, Rock Island, & Donald Connell, Portland, OR; uncle, James Stickel, Colona.

He was preceded in death his parents.
