Jennifer Ann Valdivia (Young), 27, formerly of Cambridge, IL passed away January 16, 2007 in Bahrain while pursuing her career in the US Navy.
Funeral services will be 11a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery, Orion, IL. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare - No Kill Shelter, Milan, IL.
Jennifer was born May 25, 1979 in Iowa City, IA to Chris and Debra S. Hawk Young. She graduated from Orion High School in 1997.
Jennifer had advanced to E-6 in a short 9 years and was the Kennelmaster in charge of the largest kennel in the Navy. She had a positive influence on many doghandlers throughout the world. She earned Sailor of the Year 2005 at Bahrain Naval Base. She will be missed by many who knew her, but most of all her family.
