Jill Knaak, age 61, of Hampton, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at the Clarrissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Wildwood Baptist Church, East Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue,Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Wildwood Baptist Church, East Moline.
Jill was born October 10, 1946 in Moline, the daughter of John C. and Betty (Drumm) Tuttle. She married Jim Knaak on August 21, 1965 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rapids City.
Jill was employed for the State of Illinois, Department of Human Services as a supervisor, retiring in 2005 after 22 years. She was on the Board of Directors for "Walking with God Ministry" in Hendersonville, TN. Jill was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church for over 20 years. She was a former member of the Hampton School Board for a number of years and served as president. She was active with the Rock Island County youth softball. Jill loved to cross-stitch and was a Chicago Bears fan.
