Joan E. Quinlin, 81, of Moline, died January 15, 2010 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 at Moline Missionary Church (3910 13th St. Moline). Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Moline Missionary Church.
Joan was born November 2, 1928 in Dawson, MN to Rev. Martin H. and Tillie (Schultz) Bast. She was a graduate of Moline High School. She married John R. on July 11, 1952 in Moline.
She began her career at the former Moline National Bank in downtown Moline as a teller. She retired in the late 80's from First Midwest Bank as a personal secretary in the trust department.
Joan was an active member of the Moline Missionary Church which was the former Moline Evangelical Church. She was a pianist at the church and also the choir director. She cooked for the church camps, she was a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, children's ministry leader and chaired the courtesy committee. She was a member of KayDee's Circle of King's Daughters for 25 years. She was a former PTA member and president, and former secretary of the Aledo Investment Club. She enjoyed cooking, playing Bunco, traveling, and planning parties.
