Joan E. Ryan, age 83, of East Moline, died Friday, January 4, 2013, at her granddaughter's house in Rock Island surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. .
Joan was born December 15, 1929 in Rock Island, the daughter of George and Evelyn (Fletcher) Pierce. She married Harold G. Ryan on March 3, 1950.
Joan was employed as a waitress at Murphy's Tap, and several other restaurants. She also worked at the A&P for several years. Joan enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Colona House where she resided. Joan especially loved her cat, Nene.
