Joann Elizabeth (DeVolder) Webb, of Silvis, passed away on January 12, 2025.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, followed by the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery. If one wishes to make a lasting memorial, Joann would be honored with donations to: Moline Church of Christ, 4800 38th Avenue, Moline, Illinois. 61265 or Crowley's Ridge Academy, 606 Academy Drive, Paragould, Arkansas 72450.
She was born June 17, 1931, in Moline, Illinois to Raymond and Louise DeVolder. She married Harley Webb on September 24, 1952, at Sacred Heart Church in Moline. She was a faithful member of the Moline Church of Christ.
Joann was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. for many years. She enjoyed playing in a card club with her High School friends. For many years she and her husband traveled to many places to meet up with 6 of their good friends to play canasta.
She loved and adored her husband Harley, and they enjoyed traveling to many places especially a dream trip to Switzerland. She enjoyed sharing memories of that trip and all of the others. Joann also enjoyed crocheting and made many baby blankets over the years including blankets for her own grandchildren. She enjoyed time in her kitchen where she cooked and baked with a very skilled hand. She always had a tasty supper and dessert ready for her family every night! Joann was a shopper and loved to get those bargains. She would always share her findings with her family. Her family was her pride and joy.
Joann would regularly send out cards to all of her family and friends, whether they were sick, needed encouragement or on their birthdays.
She is survived by her husband Harley Webb, daughter Debi (Wes) Tibbs, sons Duane (Marty) Webb & Darrell (Debbie) Webb. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Sarah, Jenny, Justin, Christa, Michael, Garrett, Amanda, Brandon, Conner and Jordan and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Louise DeVolder, father Raymond DeVolder and brother Ray DeVolder.
