JoAnn M. Blunk-Marolf, 70, of Moline, IL, beloved wife and mother passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5p.m. to 7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Services will be held on Thursday at 11a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association.
JoAnn was born Feb. 17, 1936 in Kendall, WI. She graduated from West Rockford High School in 1953. She married Richard Blunk in 1956, and had three sons, Bill, Larry and David. She married Raymond Marolf in 1982.
JoAnn was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She touched many people with her love, laughter, thoughtfulness and generous spirit. She will be dearly missed by many.
JoAnn retired from John Deere & Co. after 25 years of service in 1992. During her time with Deere she worked at the Technical Center, then as Administrative Assistant in Materials Management until her retirement. JoAnn enjoyed her retirement. When she wasn't gardening, quilting, cooking up something delicious in the kitchen or making her home cozy and inviting, she was out golfing and traveling the world with her husband, siblings and friends.
She is survived by her wonderful husband Ray Marolf; children, Bill (Tina) Blunk, Enid, OK; Larry (Terri) Blunk, Ottawa, IL; Debbie Blunk, Columbia SC; step-children, Dave Marolf, Prescott, AZ; Jim (Kerry) Marolf; Mike Marolf and Pam (Mark) Ernat, Rock Island, IL; grandchildren Jason, Emily, Laurie, Christian, Josh, Jenny, Katie, Anna Marie, and Timothy; her brother Charles (Bev) Cleven, Navarre, FL, and sister Diane (Bob) Boyd, Rockford, IL.
Preceded in death by her sister Arlene; her parents and her dear son David Blunk.
