JoAnn Scott, age 80, of Orion, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at her home.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2009 at Kirk, Huggins, & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. Orion with a visitation one hour prior. Inurnment is in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to JoAnn's family for a fund to be established.
JoAnn was born November 9, 1928 in Rock Island the daughter of Charles H. and Irene (Briggs) Monroe. She married Robert E. Scott I on February 6, 1948 at Sherrard Lutheran Church.
JoAnn was employed as a school bus driver for the Orion School District #223 for 20 years, retiring on January 1, 2000. JoAnn really loved all the children who rode her bus over the years.
