Joann Ward Snyder, 85, of Silvis, IL, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1307 17th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Joann was born on January 20, 1929, in Chicago, IL. She was lovingly adopted by Albert and Ann Jones Ward. She graduated from Saint Mary's of Notre Dame School of Nursing. After moving to the Quad City area, she worked as a registered nurse for the nursery at Moline Public Hospital, Dr. Manlove in Bettendorf, and later for Dr. Kacha in East Moline. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Joann was a loving mother and Nana; family meant everything to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and 3 nephews.
