Joanne W. Brush, age 60, of Geneseo, died Friday, July 9, 2010 at Trinity, Rock Island.
Visitation celebrating her life is from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Anyone wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home by 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Joanne was born October 11, 1949 in San Diego, CA., the daughter of James and Wilma (Hibbs) Walker. She married George Brush on May 5, 1989 in Suffolk, VA.
Joanne was employed with the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) at the Rock Island Arsenal. She received her Master's Degree from Webster University. Joanne retired from the Naval Reserves as a Commander in July, 2009. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Geneseo.
