Joe Lee Franklin, 56, of Rockford, IL, died Wednesday, October 02, 2013, at Presence St. Anne Center, Rockford, IL.
Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate. Memorials may be made to Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity.
Joe was born on November 20, 1956, in Moline, IL, the son of Hermie and Zelda (McGehee) Franklin, Jr. He married Ruth and they later divorced.
Joe worked for Rockford Public Schools as a Teacher. He was a member of Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity.
