Joe Kennedy

Norman “Joe” Kennedy, 68, of Milan, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2018, at UnityPoint Health, Trinity Rock Island.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Ave., Moline.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to his family.

Joe was born on March 8, 1950 in Marshfield, WI, the son of Ailene Rennert and Norman J Kennedy Sr.  Joe was raised by Lester Roggenbauer following the early passing of his father.  He married Sharon Strong on April 6, 1974; they divorced in 1996 but remained friends.  Joe was a representative at Transitions in Moline.  Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved horses.

Survivors include his 4 daughters, Penny Kennedy, Milan, Vanessa Kennedy, Galesburg, April (Ryan) Dove, Milan, and Sara (Curtis) Sullivan, Moline; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 6 siblings, Al (Janet) Kennedy, Sandro (Julie) Kennedy, Ronald Roggenbauer, James (Barbra) Roggenbauer, Lester (Angela) Roggenbauer Jr., and Christina (Matthew) Griffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
