John Arthur Nelson

John Arthur Nelson, 77, of Moline, IL, died Friday, January 06, 2017, at Genesis Medical Center – Silvis Campus, Silvis, IL.

Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, 6601 – 38th Avenue, Moline, IL.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home.  Private Inurnment will be held at a later date.

John was born on April 21, 1939, in Rock Island, IL, the son of John A. and Daisy Walston Nelson, Sr. He married Carol Jean Bull on March 14, 1959 in Rock Island, IL.  She preceded him in death in May, 2015.

He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1957.

John was a printer at Desaulniers for 37 years.  He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels, and watching the Cubs, golf, and westerns.  He was on a bowling league for many years and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his earlier years.
