John W. Barker, of Moline, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the Central Kindred Hospital in Chicago and is now safe in the arms of the Jesus, after an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park.
John was born August 13, 1937 in Rock Island, the son of Mr.& Mrs. John Edward Barker. He graduated from Rock Island High School Class of 1955.
John was a broker and owner of Barker Roche Real Estate in Moline. He was a tenor with The King's Men Quartet. He attended Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, Moline
John was a man of God & walked the walk.He fought the good fight & was a faithful servant.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Shirley & they had "8" Children by Marriage
