John Louis Brown, age 85, of Moline, died June 7, 2010, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services for John Brown will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 115 West 12th Avenue, Milan. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
John was born on January 22, 1925, in Fairfield, Iowa to Vince Delbert and Mary Eugenia Droz Brown. He married Phyllis June Campbell on August 26th, 1946 in Washington, Iowa.
John was employed in machine maintenance with John Deere for 27 years retiring in 1983. He was a member of UAW Local 434. John was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Milan.
He enjoyed music and playing cards. He also enjoyed camping throughout the United States and traveling to Florida. Most of all he had an aptitude for working with his hands and mind together.
John is survived by his wife

He was preceded in death by his parents, a great granddaughter; Oshean Nicole Krahl, 1 Brother and 2 Sisters.
