John L. Fullmer, Jr. age 79, of Milan, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Military honors will be conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246 of Moline, IL and Buffalo Bill American Legion Post #347 of LeClaire, IA. Memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center.
John was born May 10, 1937 in Le Claire, IA, the son of John L and Virginia McCaulaey Fullmer, Sr. He married Evelyn Muhleman Maxwell on December 12, 1997 in Moline.
John was employed as a supervisor at Alcoa for 32 years.
John was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Buffalo Bill American Legion Post #347 of LeClaire, IA. John enjoyed bowling, playing cards, going antiquing, quilting, gardening, fishing, and playing golf. John also enjoyed working on cars and drag racing in his youth.
