John Edmond “Jack” Griffin, 64, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, September 28, 2017, in Milwaukee, WI.
A family directed graveside service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal with military honors to be conducted. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jack was born on September 29, 1952, in Moline, the son of Donald A. and Lila P. Lichenberg Griffin. He married RoxAnn M. Sullivan on May 31, 1985, in Moline.
Jack was a United States Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver retiring in 2010. Jack loved music and above all was his love of family.
Survivors include his wife, RoxAnn; children, Ryan (daughter-in-law, Georgiana) (Tiffany Shanks) Griffin, Moline, Danielle Ballard (Zach Rickey), Port Byron, Ian Griffin (Elizabeth Roberts), Moline, Shannon (Dan) Round, Milan, Sydney Griffin, Milan, and Chelsea Griffin, Moline; grandchildren, Dustin, Nick, Jacob, Chase, Brooke & Dianna; siblings, Mary Jo (John) Ignowski, Alabama, Bob Griffin, East Moline, and Gary (Cristina) Griffin, Milan; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Allyssa Jean.
