John Jack R. Holtz

John R. "Jack" Holtz, age 93, of Rock Island, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Visitation is from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Memorials may be made to Friendship Manor Employees Fund.
Jack was born August 6, 1916 in Moline, the son of Rudolph and Alice (Felt) Holtz. He married Marion Horne on September 6, 1941 in Winnipeg. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2006.
Jack was employed as a purchasing manager for Farmall, retiring in 1976. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Moline. Jack enjoyed sailing for many years, and also enjoyed music.
