John Omar Ill

John Omar Ill, age 63, of Moline, died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the VA Hospital, Iowa City.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, with military honors conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars.
John was born December 6, 1944, in Davenport, IA., the son of Harry and Alice (Martin) Ill.
John was a journeyman ironworker, Local 111. He was a graduate of Rock Island High School, and attended the University of Illinois. John was in the Marine Corps and served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam.
