John R. Johnston, 62 of Moline passed away July 3, 2011 at his home.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, July 11th at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd.,
6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to his family.
John was born on July 5, 1948 in Kewanee, IL the son of Kenny and Virginia Harker Johnston. He married
Pam Scallions in 1973. He later married Shirley Orange in 1977. He married Karen McKee on October 23, 1990 in Las Vegas, NV.
John worked as a repairman and serviced appliances in the Quad Cities for over 30 years and he owned and operated J & J Appliance with his wife, Karen. He was known as "Emmit" by his friends. He enjoyed watching the Cubs, Bears and NASCAR racing and spending time with the "garage gang". The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Acosta and Dr. Hassan for the excellent care given to John over the past several years.
