John M. Strombeck

John Marshall Strombeck, 57, of Coal Valley, died May 28, 2007 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2007 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline.
John was born June 7, 1949 in Moline to Vernon and Norma ( Johnson) Strombeck. He married Nancy Reynolds on July 3, 1971 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on July 17, 1991. He later married Penny (Spaulding) Mahar on January 8, 1993.
John was an entrepreneur. He was an avid outdoorsman, amateur historian and a professional prankster. He was a passionate husband, father and grandfather.
