John W. Weston, 84, of Silvis, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Shrine of Memories funeral Home, 3002 N. Court St., Ottumwa, Iowa. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until services. Burial will be at the Shrine of Memories Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is handling local arrangements.
John was born November 27, 1921 in Washington, Iowa, the son of George and Georgia Ballard Weston. He married Etta Marjorie Smith on December 20, 1940 in Fairfield, IA. She preceded him in death on January 8, 2003.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran stationed in Germany during WWII.
