Jonathan “Jon” J. Pettifer, 63, of Moline, died, Friday, December 29, 2017, at Aperion Care, East Moline.
A celebration of life gathering will be held 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Svithoid Club, 1522 ½ 6th Ave Moline, IL. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory Ltd., 6601 38th Ave Moline, IL. Cremation rites will follow services. Memorials may be made to the family.
Jon was born on December 23, 1954, in Moline, IL, the son of Richard N. and Rose M. Swanson Pettifer. He worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Hope Creek Care Center.
Jon was an avid Greenbay Packers fan and enjoyed playing rugby and basketball.
Survivors include his daughter, Angie Palmer, Rockford; brothers, Wesley Pettifer, Hampton, and Jeff Pettifer, Moline; sisters, Kathy (Paul) Christofferson, Bettendorf, and Sheryl (James) Thomas, Moline; nephew, Chris Christofferson, Bettendorf; and nieces, Chantelle and Danielle Thomas, Moline.
He was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Rose Pettifer; and his brother, Rick Pettifer.
