Joseph "Jerry" Barach

Joseph "Jerry" Barach, 86, of Moline, died February 17, 2010 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 5 - 7 PM at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal with military honors conducted by American Legion Post # 246. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Croation Club.
Jerry was born on March 10, 1923 in Centerville, Iowa to Mike and Ann Berlitch Barach. He married Audrey Anderson on June 10, 1950 in Moline. She preceded him in death on November 15, 1999.
Jerry was a WWII Army veteran. He was later employed as and Tool Sharpener at I.H. Farmall. Jerry was a member of the Croation Crest Club, Moline Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge No. 190, and American Legion Post #246. He was the president for I.H. Harvester Credit Union from 1972 - 1973. He also enjoyed wood working, making grandfather clocks and wintering with his wife in Florida for 29 years. He enjoyed golfing and had a hole-in-one at Saukie Golf Course.
