Joseph Milburn Holley, 95, of Colona, formerly of Merrillville, IN died February 1, 2008 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.
Services will be 3 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 with a visitation from 2-3 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.
Joseph was two weeks short of his 96th birthday. He was born February 13, 1912 in Benton, KY to Oscar and Ora Holley. He moved from Benton, KY as a child to Metropolis, IL where he married Ruby Lee Sullivan on July 20, 1935. They made their home in Metropolis, IL till 1954. They moved to Merrillville , IN and he worked as a cement mason till retiring in 1976.
He loved fishing, gardening and his home. He served in the Jehovah Witness Service in Crown Point, IN for 60 years. He enjoyed a long and very healthy life and left good memories to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family.
