Joseph Michael Ross, age 52 of East Moline, died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 11a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4800 Kennedy Drive, East Moline. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be private.
Mike was born on October 13, 1954, in Unionville, Missouri, the son of Donnie Ross and Mary Ellen Andrews. He was adopted by Gordon Walton when he was 14 years old. He married Brenda Lovato on April 13, 1974 in Raton, New Mexico.
Mike was employed as an auto mechanic for 13 years and worked in various positions in manufacturing until going on a medical disability in 2006. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, East Moline. He enjoyed Scouting, the outdoors, playing with his grandchildren and holding babies.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda; sons William (Amanda) Ross, Wayne (Allie) Ross, Charles (Evelyn) Ross, and Andrew Ross; daughter, Monica Ross; eight grandchildren, a brother Daniel (Karen) Ross, and three sisters, Nanette, Deatta, Kitty and his father, Gordon Walton. He was preceded in death by his mother.
