Joy Gnatovich, 75 of Rock Island died January 7, 2005 at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m with a prayer service at 7p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Entombment will be at Moline Memorial Park and Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church or the Kidney Foundation.
Joy was born May 26, 1929 in Rushville, IL to Ralph and Nellie (McNeely) Skiles.
She married George Gnatovich on August 7, 1949 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Moline.
Joy was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Rock Island.
Joy was a loving wife and a dedicated loving mother. She loved her grandchildren dearly and had a great love for animals, especially her three dogs. Joy brought a special smile to everyday and brightened every room she entered. This has been a great loss and she will be missed dearly. Joy was the foundation of the family and she is now "Our Angel."
