Joyce Peterson, 80, of Lynn Center, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical, Peoria.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Anyone wishing to attend the service should meet at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301-4th St., Orion at 9 a.m. Friday morning for procession to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover or the American Legion.
Joyce was born on July 1, 1930 and was married to her husband, Robert, for 51 years.
After retiring from the Postal Service, she loved traveling and her three dogs Mikey, Murphy and Pepper.
Survivors include her two sons, Timothy and David; a sister Pam Picard; sister and brother-in-law Lois and Jim Peterson; and her friend Roberta Little.
