Our mother Joyce I. Rutledge, of Warsaw, MO was called home on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from her daughter's home in Orion, IL. Joyce touched so many lives while she was here. Joyce was a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and a person who knew the true meaning of a big heart.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Joyce was born on November 3, 1939 in Augusta, IA to Cyrus and Aletha (Boyd) Folker. She was one of 15 children living on a farm in Burlington, IA and later on in Farmington, IA. Joyce graduated from Sperry High School in 1957. She met her husband Earl Rutledge in Rock Island, IL. They were married on February 24, 1958. They were married 53 years before he passed on in January 2012.
Joyce loved to play cards and shuffleboard with her friends at the legion in Warsaw. Joyce loved to work in her yard playing in the dirt or sit on the dock and fish. She loved her golf cart rides around their addition in Missouri.
Joyce was a member of the Warsaw American Legion Auxiliary, The Ladies Auxiliary, and was an officer of their addition. Where ever she went she has touched so many.
Joyce and Earl were blessed with six kids, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Cyrus Jr., Dale, Robert, and Norman; sister, Verlene.
Joyce and Earl will be forever missed by one and all.
