Joyce Woodley, 77, of Orion, passed away Monday, July 8th, 2019 in New Windsor surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 12th, 2019 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl, Ltd, Orion IL. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 11th, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion, IL. Memorials may be made to Orion Booster Club.
Joyce was born on July 5th, 1942 in Moline, the daughter of Frank and Rosebud (Freeman) Lee. She married Wayne Lieving in June 1960. She then later married Ronald Woodley in 1984 and preceded her in death in 2015. Joyce was employed at Highland Packing Co. as a bookkeeper. In her younger years, she was an avid Bowler, played women’s softball, and once she got 2nd place in a Powder Puff Demolition Derby. She was an avid fan of the Orion Chargers, Chicago Cubs, and Green Bay Packers. Joyce never met a stranger and made lifelong friends easily. She enjoyed the simple things in life and did so with a notorious sense of humor. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Doug Lieving, Milan, IL, Ritch (Cindy) Lieving, Coal Valley, Tony (Joanne) Lieving, Colona, Kerry (Denise) Lieving, New Windsor; step-children, Robyn (Dennis) Pruett, Randy (Grace) Woodley; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Norma (Dale) Snell, Richard Lee, Debbie (Tom) Gainey, and a very special honorary sister, Beth Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Bob Lee, brother-in-law, Roger Woodley, and sister-in-law, Reva Lee.
