Juanita Stevens

Juanita Stevens, 102, a resident of Silvis, living happily many years in retirement, passed away, Friday, November 9, 2018, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

Per Juanita’s wishes, there will be no services.  Cremation rites will take place and burial of cremains will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Juanita was born on December 27, 1915, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Seeley) Eckright.  She graduated from Moline High School, Class of 1933, and was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone.  She married Louis W. Stevens in Rock Island on February 19, 1939.  He preceded her in death on February 18, 1979.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Evelyn Swanson, and brother, Eugene Eckright.
