Judith A. Scott, 71, of Colona, IL, died Monday, October 3, 2016, at Aspen Rehab & Health Care, Silvis, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to the family.
Judith was born on January 29, 1945, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Floyd and Marilyn Myres Griffin. She married Joseph C. Scott on April 11, 1964, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moline, IL. She worked as a nurse for the East Moline Correctional Center for 20 years, retiring in 2000.
Judith was a member of the Colona American Legion Auxiliary. She was chairman of the annual fundraiser for the Quincy Retirement Home.
Survivors include her sons, Kelly (Toni) Scott, Fairfield, IA, and James (Richelle) Scott, Moline, IL; grandchildren, Cortney, Brett, Abigail, Jamie, Gannon, and Christopher Scott; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Dan Griffin, Moline, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sons, Jamie Allen Scott and Kevin Scott.
