Judy A. Pearson, age 57. of Moline, died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf after a 15 year battle with breast cancer.
Visitation is 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Additional visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1st, 2010 at Winfield Funeral Home, Albia, Iowa. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Tioga Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Judith Ann Pearson was born December 26, 1952 to Joseph (Gene) and Doris Phillips Pearson in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
She graduated from Albia High School in Albia, IA and Madison Barber College in Rock Island. Judy was the owner/operator of Judy's Barbershop. She enjoyed traveling, playing euchre and gardening. Working in her flower gardens gave her great joy. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, brother, Joe Pearson and his fiancé, Holly, sister Debbie (Steven) Landgrebe, one niece, eight nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, 9 great great nieces and nephews and a special friend for 30 years, Vickie Hawley.
She was preceded in death by her father, both sets of grandparents, and a nephew, Joey.
The family wishes to thank: Dr. Stuart Garneau and his staff for treating Judy with dignity and compassion these last 15 years; Judy's dear friends who have offered their time, love, comfort, and support; and lastly, Judy's loyal customers for their patience and devotion - especially these last two years.
