Julie A. Covert, 45, of Rock Island passed away after an extended illness on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center West campus, Rock Island.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2004 at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Julie Covert was born May 4, 1958 in Moline to Robert L. and Dorothy J. DeVolder. She was married to Elmer Covert in 1977.
Julie very much enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandson Alexander. She also enjoyed music, cross stitch, camping, fishing and animals.
Survivors include: daughter, Hollie J. Covert; grandson, Alexander York; mother, Dorothy DeVolder; sister Pam and (Edward) Schneider; brothers, John and (Kelly) DeVolder, and Michael DeVolder, all of Moline. Julie also had four nieces, four nephews, seven great-nieces and nephews; and best friend Phyllis Ruiz. Julie was preceded in death by her father, Robert DeVolder and grandson, Matthew.
