Julie Lois Harper, age 85, of Moline, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at East Moline Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to a fund for the great grandchildren's education.
Julie was born January 23, 1927 in Edmonton, KY, the daughter of Tommie and Rosie Ballard Huff Froedge. She married Basil Kent Harper on February 24, 1944 in Glasgow, KY. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2000.
Julie was a member of the Apostolic Sanctuary for many years. She taught Sunday school and began the Peanut Brittle phase of the Bake Sale programs at the church. Julie loved her entire family dearly.
