Julie Hogan, 86 of Moline, passed away June 26, 2009 from injuries sustained in a car accident in LaSalle County, IL.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Heritage Wesleyan Church or the Big Six Studebaker Club.
Julie was born on February 16, 1923 in Moline the daughter of August and Mary DeJaeger Claeys. She married John Hogan on January 1, 1942 in Kahokia, MO. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Julia had been employed at Carson, Pirie Scott in earlier years, while her husband was employed as a machinist at Alcoa. She was a member of Heritage Wesleyan Church, AARP, and Zal Cauldron. She was also very active in the Big Six Studebaker Club.
Survivors include her daughter Sandy Ferguson of Milan, grandson David Kahn of Moline and niece Lyn Vermeulen McMahill of Arizona and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law and 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
