June Geisler

Doris (June) Geisler, age 82, of East Moline, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her home.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park.
June was born September 6, 1927 in Missouri the daughter of Francis Warren and Grace (Adams) Brookhart. She married Warren Geisler in 1955 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death in 1999.
June was a 1945 graduate of Granger High School in Missouri. June had been employed as a timekeeper for one year at Servus Rubber in Rock Island and in the accounting department for two years at Royal Neighbors in Rock Island. She was also employed at the Dime Store in Moline and at Bond Walgreens in Moline. She was then employed in the office at Swansons Foundry in Moline, was a bookkeeper at the YWCA in Rock Island for eight years, and was a bookkeeper at Ziel Supply Company for 30 years. She was very kind and giving, collected teddy bears and enjoyed visiting her family, her great-grandson and her visits with her dear friend Shirley. She loved all animals.
Survivors include her son Jerry (Diane) Brookhart; granddaughter Sandy (Grant) Stewart; great-grandson Coen Stewart and her sister Mildred Bonnett of Bushnell, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Harold "Jack" Brookhart of Illinois, Paul Brookhart of Nebraska, and sisters Lula Reese of Illinois, Matalee Arnold of Missouri, Goldie Hammer of New York and Mayme Drummond of Illinois.
