June E. Hall, age 94, of Moline, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at First Christian Church, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church
June was born March 26, 1915 in Bayard, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd and Lessie Pulver Stiles. She married Gerald (Jerry) Hall on May 14, 1936 in Bayard, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1991.
June was employed with Eagle Signal during WWII and worked on the Norden bombsight. During the 1970's and 1980's she was the "lunchroom monitor" at Wilson Jr. High School. She instilled the love of music in countless young people by teaching piano lessons for over 50 years.
June and Jerry moved to Moline in the early 1940's and soon became members at First Christian Church of Moline, where she was active in Golden Circle class, Christian Women's Fellowship and various other church organizations. She enjoyed playing the piano for Children's Sunday School Classes for decades. June was also a member of the Sylvia Bannon circle of King's Daughters.
