A Mass of Christian Burial for Karen Everingham, 64, of Taylor Ridge, will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2006 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Andalusia, where she was a member. The Rev. Richard Barcliff will be the celebrant. Visitation is Sunday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the church with a Christian Wake Service at 3:00 p.m. Private family inurnment will be held at Calvary Mausoleum at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church , the family for a sports memorial to be established, or a favorite charity. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline is assisting the family.
Karen passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at her home. She was born March 17, 1942 in Moline, the daughter of William and Patricia (Wright) Unferth. She married William K. Everingham on August 17, 1963 at St. Pius Catholic Church, Rock Island. He preceded her in death on August 28, 2001.
Karen was employed as a rural letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2002. She loved her dog Belle, going to her grandchildren's sporting events, golf and playing cards. Karen's greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
