Karen Marie Trautman

Karen Marie (Sorenson) Trautman, 68, died peacefully at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with lung cancer, on April 3, 2007.
Visitation will be Monday, April 9, 2007 from 4-8 p.m. with a wake service at 4 p.m.at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Kahl Home or Christ the King Catholic Church.
Karen was born September 5, 1938 in Jamestown, ND to Ernest and Susan (Cebula) Sorenson. She married Dwayne D. Trautman on August 3, 1957 in Buchanan, ND.
She served on the Catholic Service Board for 11 years and served a year as Chairman of the Cinderella Cellar. Karen loved to play bridge and to golf at the Rock Island Country Club.
She treasured her children, Scott and Jill. They, and her five wonderful grandchildren, Rachel, Ian, Jared, Quinn and Lilly filled her life with great and abiding joy.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dwayne; her mother Susan Sorenson from Jamestown, ND; a son, Scott and his wife Julie from Stoughton, WI; daughter Jill Mannino and her husband, Timothy from Erie, PA; five grandchildren; her brother Gordon Sorenson and his wife Bev from Missoula, MT, several nieces and nephews and many extended family, friends and loved ones.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Ernest "Bubs" Sorenson.
