Katherine Marie Haemer, age 91, of Moline, died Saturday, June 28, 2008 at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m.Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or Beacon of Hope Hospice.
Katherine was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 30, 1916 in Rock Island, the daughter of Samuel C. and Rose (VandeVoorde) Lucas. She married Clarence Haemer in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1990.
Katherine was a member of Unity Christian Church, Moline, and a past member of Eastern Star. She was also a long time volunteer for The American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. Katherine enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, flowers and any outside activities.
