Katherine Z. Shaffer, 65, of Milan, died November 22, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave, Moline. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose-Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to Good Hope Alliance.
Katherine was born November 21, 1942 in Grafton, West Virginia to Clarence Eugene and Myrtle Ellen Lee (Dever) Dodge. She married Curtis Shaffer on September 8, 1959 in Oakland, Maryland.
Katherine was a secretary and computer graphic artist for 11 years at Moline Gospel Temple. She was also a Sunday school teacher for the primary grades at Moline Gospel Temple. She made Thanksgiving boxes and was involved in Operation Blessing. She enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren and was known for being a giving person. She also collected sea shells.
