Kathryn J Miller

Kathryn J. Miller, 82, of East Moline, formerly of Apache Junction, AZ, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment for both Kathryn and her beloved husband, Carl, will be at a later date at the Aledo Cemetery. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Kathryn was born on April 1, 1941, in Moline, the daughter of William Samuel and Bertha Pauline (Leighty) Johnson. She married Carl L. Miller on the 8th tee at the Windmills Golf Course in 1986. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2015. Kathryn had previously been employed in the accounting department at Royal Neighbors of America, retiring in 1987. Kathryn enjoyed golfing in her younger years, going on walks, and being with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy (Johnny) Kling; sons, Jason Strieder, Tim (Loretta) Miller; sisters, Barbara Johnston, Harriet (Terry) Rogers, Sharon Van Hook; grandchildren, Christy (Cody) Smith, Dylan Kling, Hunter Miller; great grandchildren, Emma Smith, Ella Smith, Shevy Kling; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; son, Eric Strieder; grandsons, Nicholas Strieder and Trenton Miller; brothers, Dave, Edward, and Donald Johnson; and her parents.
