Kenneth D. Young, 73, of Rock Island, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
Ken was born on May 1, 1943, the son of Orel J. and Mary Maxine Williams Young. He married Pamela Forsythe on December 13, 1975 at the former Moline Gospel Temple in Moline.
Ken was the owner operator and engineer of PGK in East Moline until 2010. He loved the challenge of troubleshooting and fixing circuit boards at work. He was an avid reader, he loved science fiction, crime dramas and murder mysteries.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Young and daughter, Cynthia Lynn Young.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Catherine Anne Young.
