Kenneth E. Peterson, 85, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal, where military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post 246. Those wishing to attend should meet at 10 a.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.
Kenneth was born on February 22, 1932, in Winona, MN, the son of Edward John and Elva Lorraine Kraft Peterson. He worked for the police department at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in December of 1992. He married Helen M. Stout on July 31, 1965, in Rock Island, IL, and she preceded him in death on October 12, 2000.
Kenneth was a veteran, having proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his children, Deborah Davis, Michael Stout, Donald Stout, and Ronald Stout; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
